CDS Defence & Security has been elected as one of five SME representatives on techUK’s Defence & Security Board, sitting alongside 20 large technology-based companies. We will be represented by Martin Nash who is our Head of Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CS&IA) Services.
techUK is a collaborative technology membership organisation. It provides a platform for companies from around the UK to network, learn and develop their offering, ensuring the UK is at the forefront of technological innovation.
In particular, the techUK ‘Defence & Security’ Board onto which CDS DS have been elected, addresses strategic- level concerns and their possible impact on the UK’s IT sector.
Martin said of this appointment:
“I am delighted to be representing CDS DS on the techUK Defence & Security Board for the next two-years. It’s vitally important that the experience, knowledge and skills that SMEs can provide is represented in such forums. As an SME, we understand that smaller organisations are in a unique position to strengthen and support the technology aspects of the UK’s defence and security capability. I’ve seen first-hand how our own agility, innovative approaches and ability to identify and embrace new trends in the industry often provides the balance needed to influence and deliver strategic defence programmes, initiatives and decisions.”
