CDS Defence & Security are proud to announce their partnership with CyberFirst. Set up by the National Cyber Security Centre, part of GCHQ, CyberFirst exists to help young people explore their passion for technology and nurture their talents – developing the next generation of cyber professionals.
With a programme of opportunities, apprenticeships, competitions and courses, CyberFirst is now celebrating its fifth year.
Martin Nash, Head of Cyber Security & Information Assurance Services at CDS DS says:
“It is well documented that the cyber security profession has a global shortage of expertise available – this presents a real problem for ensuring that we are all safe and secure in our ever connected and technology dependent lives.
It’s great to see initiatives such as CyberFirst helping the younger generation with a range of activities, bursaries, apprenticeships and courses to encourage them to make cyber security a career option for them.
To continue to successfully deliver our cyber security & information assurance services across the public and private sectors, we are excited to be CyberFirst partners and to do our part in ensuring we have the cyber-skills we need for the future.”
Partners of CyberFirst are central to programme activities and provide bursaries and sponsorship, mentoring and inspiration, and of course careers for graduates.
Martin Nash continues:
“It’s also our hope that the support we are providing will help inspire young people to consider joining us in the exciting, fast changing and ever growing world of cyber security.”
