Leading Defence training providers, CDS Defence & Security, is adding a new string to their Training & Learning Development bow after securing two significant contract wins to provide coaching to both the British Army’s Commanding Officers and their Chaplaincy provision.
Awarded by Knowledgepool Public Sector Managed Learning Service Framework, these two contracts have a combined value of over £500,000 and will see CDS DS utilise their existing network of experienced coaches to deliver in-person and virtual courses over the next three years.
Using a combination of Personality and Leadership profiling, face to face coaching, best practice tools and techniques and a 180 degree feedback process, these interventions will help individuals to improve their leadership performance, increase their self-awareness and ultimately improve the leadership culture across Army units. For those wanting to continue their professional development, there will also be an opportunity to register on an ILM Level 5 or Level 7 coaching and mentoring pathway, which is facilitated and accredited by CDS DS and M2M2.
Andy Moss, Leadership Development Manager for CDS DS says of these wins:
“As a company, we have a long history of working as a trusted partner to the British Army and these wins are a real endorsement of not only the relationship we have with the Army, but also the expertise we have developed in Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring. Commanding Officers have direct responsibility for around 80% of the Army’s personnel. Therefore it is a real privilege to be able to influence (directly or indirectly) over 65,000 members of the British Army through our coaching programmes. The importance of the roles of Commanding Officers and Chaplains cannot be downplayed, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of the investment into their further professional development within the Army”
